REAL CONSERVATIVES ENDORSE ALAN BATEMAN

24 February 2010 (Colts Neck, NJ) – Conservative Republican candidate for New Jersey’s 4^th Congressional district, Alan Bateman, was officially endorsed by the North New Jersey Tea Party Group.

Founder of the North Jersey Tea Party Group, Mark Kalinowski praised Bateman by saying, "At its best, the Tea Party Movement stands for proper principles, such as liberty and individual rights. The movement should never support a politician simply because that politician is a Republican. Harmful Republicans -- like Chris Smith -- need to go. Chris Smith sided against liberty by voting for cap-and-tax (which would arguably be the largest tax increase in American history) and by supporting card check (which would infringe upon union members' right to cast a secret ballot).

Kalinowski continued, “And these are only two of many, many times Smith has unfortunately chosen to be on the anti-liberty side of various issues. The North New Jersey Tea Party Group is proud to support Alan Bateman as he pursues the Republican nomination in the fourth congressional district. Alan will be a much more vocal and consistent defender of liberty once he is elected to Congress. We urge citizens in that district to vote for Alan Bateman."
